The issues that AEFJN works at aim at greater Economic Justice in the continent, so that all Africans may enjoy a better life.
We aim at enabling small farmers in Africa to be able to live decently from their work. We defend the right of small farmers in Africa to access to land, seeds and water.
We echo the voices of Africans on the climate change issue to EU.
We work on Trade agreements between the EU and Africa, so that they are fair to Africa and promote real partnerships. We support that Africa is given a just place within international trade and financial (World Bank, IMF, WTO, etc) decision bodies.
We promote access to quality medicines at affordable prices for people with modest incomes in Africa. We promote the quality control of medicines exported to Africa from the EU. We influence EU policies on intellectual property rights so as to promote access to medicines at affordable prices for all.
We support a holistic strong and effective global Arms Trade Treaty at the UN. We work towards changing the legislation in EU member states to comply with the EU common position. We work towards limitation and control of small arms in Africa. We create awareness of the economic and social implications of trade in small arms.
We promote EU laws that make EU enterprises responsible for the violations to human and socio-economic rights outside Europe.
